In today’s episode of The Women’s Vibrancy Code, I discuss how we can promote breast health and fight cancer through many different natural avenues. Of course, we can talk about breast cancer but we really have to consider it in the realm of estrogen. As such we can also loop in ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, and even colon cancer. The big thing that we have to watch out for though, is estrogen dominance and how your body is detoxifying the excess estrogen. By regulating estrogen levels, we can take our first big steps toward preventative measures against cancer.
In This Episode:
- [5:00] Detoxifying our bodies by changing our diets, including more plant-based estrogens in our days, and stopping all use of endocrine disruptors
- [8:03] Reducing stress stops inflammation, and helps cortisol go down – which allows our hormones to produce in a healthy way
- [8:59] Keeping our gut microbiome healthy and active with prebiotics and probiotics
- [12:15] Why our genetics “load the gun” and our lifestyle “pulls the trigger”
- [18:40] Exercising and being physically based on our moon cycle to honor our rhythms
- [22:20] Doing monthly breast exams in the shower, and what to watch out for depending on your own breast texture.
- [25:50] How breast massage helps lymphatic fluid flow and detoxify the breast
- [27:00] Vagus nerve stimulation
Key Takeaways:
We have to recognize that all of our systems are highly interconnected, and we need to keep our mind, body, and spirit, as healthy as possible.
